Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

The plight of the orphan train riders of the Depression era is lovingly crafted in a story that is both powerful and tragic. Imagine losing everything so much so that you have nothing left to give, only to find hope again. That is the story of Vivian. Molly's story is of modern orphans and the foster system. These strong, proud women's stories are interwoven throughout the book and come together in a way that syncs perfectly. The power of hope and the human spirit is strong in this book. The stories are beautifully told.

I actually listened to the Audible version of the story. It was narrated by two women who brought the story alive. Very well done.
